MARIOS ANDREOU

Marios Andreou began singing lessons at the Pancyprian Conservatory with Maro Charalambidou. He represented Cyprus in the Education 2000 Festival in Norway and was admitted in 1st place in the Pancho Vladigerov National Music Academy in Sofia, Bulgaria, in the class of the soprano Blagovesta Karnobatlova, from where he graduated in 2007 with Distinction, specializing in Pedagogy and Classical Singing. He has taken part in various national and international competitions and has won prizes and distinctions. Marios has also taken part in workshops or collaborated with renowned artists and conductors, such as M. Caballe, G. Dimitrova, M. Baldieri, G. Filias, K. Mina, H. Nachev, R. Kabaivanska, F. Guy and others in Cyprus and abroad. He has appeared in concerts with the Rea Ioannidou Cultural Folklore Group, the Cyprus Opera Organisation, the Cyprus Symphony and Youth Symphony Orchestras, the Commandaria Orchestra, the George Theophanous Music Workshop and other bodies. He served as judge at the 5th Pancyprian Games in 2010 organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture. He is currently living in Cyprus where he works as singing professor at the Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos Music Lyceums, at the Helicon Conservatory in Limassol and the Pindario in Makedonitissa. He has appeared in shows and concerts in Greece, France, Italy, Serbia, Lebanon, the UK, Belgium, Malta, Norway and Korea.  

 

ANNINI TSIOUTI

Annini Tsiouti studied piano and chamber music at the École Normale de Musique de Paris and at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Paris where she was awarded a scholarship by the city of Paris. She also studied Musicology at the Sorbonne University, where she focused her research on 20th century music and more specifically on the piano works of Greek composer Nikos Skalkottas. Since 2008 Annini has been living and working in Nicosia, Cyprus, where she is very active as a teacher, solo pianist and accompanist. She appears regularly in concerts throughout Europe and the Middle East, and has performed world premieres of many works by Cypriot composers.
